Aeseling is knit all in one piece from the bottom up. It is constructed to fit the curves of the body, with negative ease at the bust line and a tie front to add to the shaping of the cardigan. Long sleeves and a long body add to the element. Simple color work, easy stitch patterns and a crochet edging makes this a perfect sweater to try out some new techniques as well as making the sweater a fairly quick knit. The name came to me in a dream and as near as I can tell is Old English. The gothic nature of the sweater lent itself to the name, so who am I to deny the dream?
