Description: The parties are heating up, but the air is cooling down. It must be After Hours. A quick knit, this shawl uses 370 yards of fingering weight yarn on size 11s, and yields a beautiful garment with a sparkling beaded-border to wear yourself or give as a gift!

Measurements: Wingspan is approximately 66”, depth is approximately 28”. Instructions are provided as line-by-line text, as well as charts.

Yarn Requirements: Approximately 370 yards of fingering weight yarn.

Gauge: 20 sts = 4” in Stockinette Stitch

Needles: Recommended size US 11

Recommended Yarn: Fingering weight. Shown in Sock-aholic® Serene, available from Knitters Brewing Company, which is dyed by hand at our brewery using a wonderfully soft 4-ply Luxury Sock Yarn made from 50% FS Alpaca, 30% Fine Merino, and 20% Tencel. Each skein contains 470 yards, and knits at a gauge of 7-9 stitches per inch using size 1-2 needles. This yarn is fabulous for warm yet lightweight garments, and its softness makes it a pleasure to handle and wear.

Washing Instructions: Hand washing in cool water is recommended to prolong the life of any hand-knit or hand-crocheted item. Roll in a towel to remove excess water (do not twist or wring), and lay flat to dry away from direct sunlight.

Accessories: 216 Size 04/0 or 06/0 beads (optional) and a small crochet hook or piece of wire to use to attach them.

6/20/16 NOTE: I’ve uploaded a supplement to the original pattern that provides four more charts you can use to make this shawl even larger if you have the yarn :-)
