Where the bee sucks, there suck I:
In a cowslip bell I lie;
There I crouch when owls do cry.
On the bat’s back I do fly
After summer merrily.
Merrily, merrily shall I live now
Under the blossom that hangs on the bow.

-The Tempest, Act V, Scene i

Inspired by Ariel riding bats, hiding from owls, and causing mischief, After Summer Merrily is a tall, warm, boot-like sock perfect for fall. Worked in all-over double moss stitch with keyholes running up the front of the leg and a traveling-stitch pattern running up the back, there are enough details to keep even the most experienced knitter from getting bored!
