Calling all intrepid beginning sock knitters! Using a basic top-down, heel-flap-and-gusset construction, the Against the Grain socks are the perfect blend of easy but interesting knitting. Using just knits and purls, you can take your basic vanilla socks up a notch to create visually compelling zigzags that look great on men or women. The pattern includes charts easy enough for anyone to follow with written instructions as a safety net if needed.
