This unisex cardigan/jacket was inspired by the traditional Mexican blankets or “serape”which are known for their beautiful color combinations and aztec designs.

Knit from the top down with raglan sleeves worked in the round. The collar is worked using short rows. Optional fringe is added using a crochet loop stitch.
The Mosaic knitting technique is used for the patterned sections.
This design was knit with several different yarn brands with slightly different weights! A great way to use up those extra skeins…use your imagination!
