Note: There is some possible confusion about this pattern and who designed it. The chart for this pattern contains a particular oddity that is not typical of Niebling designs (see this forum post for more info).

However, the credits for Beyer 454 - where the pattern first appeared - state that Niebling designed every pattern except for the cover, which was by Irmgard Sörenson. This is somewhat surprising, as the cover design of Frühlingspracht looks very much like a Niebling design, and Aida doesn’t really.

There is some speculation that perhaps the cover design of Beyer 454 was changed after the credits page was typeset. If so, then Frühlingspracht would be by Niebling and Aida would actually be by Irmgard Sörenson.
