Notes
This open front cardigan is knit flat, in one piece from the bottom up. The fronts and back are separated after the underarm bind off and from there worked separately. Short rows are used to shape the shoulders, whose stitches are placed on stitch holders and then seamed using three needle bind off technique after blocking. The front band is continued after the front shoulder stitches are placed on hold to create a strip of fabric to be grafted together and seamed to the back of the sweater for the collar.
The sleeves are knit flat, in one piece from the bottom up, seamed, then sewn to the sweater.
