I was looking for a perfect blanket for my sister-in-laws baby shower. Her shower was in June and she is due in July, and I didn’t want to make a blanket too thick to be used in July.

So I went through all of my books of stitch patterns and couldn’t find one just quite right. I wanted a chevron look but not to strong to cause the wave on both ends of the blanket.

So I came across this stitch and LOVED the out come. I created a simple Filet Border to keep up with the lacey theme. And at the end added the reverse crochet around to finish off the blanket.

You can use any border to finish off the blanket, but simple is better.
