Alameda is a top-down shawl that is easily adaptable in size, and it can be knit in your choice of yarn weight from lace to dk.

You begin with just a few stitches, and can continue the stockinette portion until it reaches your desired size. The surprisingly easy lace pattern can be repeated as many times as you wish, as well as the border. With so many options you can be sure to use as much or as little of your yarn as you would like. Pairs well with gradients or those precious skeins that make you want to use up every last yard.

Patterning is worked exclusively on the right-side rows, and wrong-side rows (except for the edge stitches) are entirely purled.

Optional beading instructions are also included for anyone who might like to add a little glitz and glamour to their shawl.

The entire pattern is both written and charted, and special attention has been given to make it easy to read whether on your tablet or printed in color or black and white.

Alameda has been thoroughly tech edited and test-knit, so you can be assured of a worry-free knit.
