This is a fun and easy introduction to slip-stitch, or mosaic, knitting, and includes instructions for creating the “tube” above and below the slip-stitch pattern.

It takes about 150 yards of the main color, and about 50 yards of the contrast. The slip-stitch patterns are both in chart form, and written out. Chart A, shown on the lime hat, is shorter in height.

The pattern is written for two sizes, a woman’s small/medium, and a woman’s large/ men’s. My head is 23”, I can wear the small/medium, but prefer the large.

The gauge is based on the slip-stitch band, rather than the crown.

This hat pattern is my first official pattern, but has been tested by others. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at iweavetoo@yahoo.com. I will respond as soon as possible.
