Alba is a simple yet unique raglan sweater. It can be worn on one side as the other and it can be worked in different types of yarns for any season. The deep raglan and slightly oversized body contribute to its relaxed silhouette. The sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down in the round. The construction begins with the neckline then the yoke is shaped by some short rows and increases for the raglan. After knitting the yoke and separating the sleeves, the body is worked, from the armholes, in one piece. The sleeves are then taken back and worked in the round to the cuffs.

Suggested ease: 15 to 25 cm/ 6” to 10” of positive ease (shown in size 3 with 20 cm/ 8” of positive ease at the bust).

Gauge: 17 sts & 28 rows for 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch using the larger needles.

Yarn & notions:

• 850 (920, 1000, 1090, 1180) (1290, 1410, 1550, 1610) m / 930 (1010, 1094, 1192, 1290) (1410, 1540, 1700, 1760) yards of each yarn or one strand of DK weight. Please keep in mind that yardage is an estimate.
• US 5 / 3 ¾ mm, US 6 /4 mm and US 7 / 4.5 mm circular needles or size to obtain the correct gauge
• Stitch markers for raglans, stitch holders or scrap yarn, tapestry needle.

Alba est le parfait basique qui peut se porter côté endroit comme côté envers. Il peut se tricoter avec une laine chaude pour l’hiver, un gros mohair pour la mi-saison, ou encore du coton ou du lin en version pour les beaux jours. La construction débute par l’encolure dont l’arrondi est façonné par des rangs raccourcis. Après avoir tricoté l’empiècement et réalisé la séparation des manches, le corps est travaillé, depuis les emmanchures, en une seule pièce. Les manches sont ensuite reprises et tricotées en rond jusqu’aux poignets. Les côtes perlées au bas des manches et du corps, les larges lignes de raglan offrent des détails originaux pour ce modèle aux finitions soignées.
