This cowl is rustic and tweedy with bumpy ribs and garter and a hint of lace. It reminds me of the mossy carpet of the old growth forest near Port Alberni on Vancouver Island. Walking through the stand of trees hundreds of years old leaves me humbled and aware of the importance of these great giants.

Alberni Cowl knits up quickly with only two balls of Aran weight yarn. The pattern is easy to remember and satisfying to work.
