I designed this cowl while watching my husband play through the game “Uncharted 2” on the Playstation 3. The female lead, Alena, was such a funny and enjoyable character, I wanted to name this cowl after her. So far in all of my designs, I have ended up naming the pattern after a character in a video game either myself or my husband were playing at the time. I didn’t want this one to be any different.

This cowl was made with worsted weight yarn, but any yarn could be used By adjusting the pattern repeat, this cowl can easily be made wider and/or longer. That being said, gauge isn’t very important with this. As written, the cowl has a loose but cozy fit.
