Just in time for shower season!

Leg warmers are the perfect new mom gift, no need to fit them over diapers, and they can be worn from newborn through toddler years. These use less than 200 yds/190 m) of baby or sock yarn, leaving plenty for the matching hat.

Based on the Aleria lace pattern, these leggings are a great way to dip your toe into Japanese knitting stitches and even learn a new cast-on. We give you everything you need to get started on a new adventure - charts, written instructions, and links to video
tutorials.

One size provided - 7 1/2” (19 cm) at the ankle and 7 3/4” (19.5 cm) at the top - but with about 4” of stretch, the top cuff will fit up to 12” (30 cm) around.

Skills: stretchy cast on, twisted stitches, lace, cables, wrapped stitches, increase/decrease.

We provide links to videos for two types of stretchy cast-on - the Italian (or alternating) and the German, but any super stretchy cast on will work.

Knitted using size 4 needles (two circulars, one long circular, or dpns) to get a gauge of 28 sts x 32 rows per 4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm).

Notions include cable needle, and tapestry needle.
