Alki Point in West Seattle looks out onto the Puget Sound, and is a touchpoint in the peninsula neighborhood. The beach and boardwalk are places to walk and gather, year-round. These anklet socks, with a picot cuff and lacy patterning, are light and airy, evoking the summer evening sunset over the water.

Difficulty Level: Intermediate +

Size: Small (Medium, Large) to fit foot circumference approximately 8 (8.5, 9) inches/20.5 (21.5, 23) cm. Note: as this is an ankle sock, you do not need to account for calf/leg size in determining the correct cast-on for your size

Yarn: Earl Grey Fiber Co. Darjeeling Sock; 4-ply 75% Superwash Merino Wool/25% Nylon. 463 yards (423 m)/100g. Approximately 200 yards used. Sample shown in colorway “Smoky Quartz.”

Needle: US 1.5/2.5 mm needles, or whatever size you need to achieve gauge: double-pointed needles (DPNs), flexible DPNs, 1 long circular for working magic loop, 2 circulars, etc., according to your preference for working in the round.

Gauge: 32 stitches and 44 rounds per 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch
