This link brings you to a tutorial, not a ‘pattern’, per se. It can be turned into a scarf though, if one were to ‘keep knitting’. But it could also be knitted into a square of some kind, or just a small rectangle for practice.

I’ve given no information about which needles or yarn are best to use. Technically, (barring eyelash or ultra-novelty/fluffy yarns, which would be hard to see a pattern in), you can use any yarn (with the corresponding needle) and get a fantastic effect.

Give it a try. It’s way easier than it looks. It’s a masterfully-written tutorial. :)
