All Aboard the Snowy Express Crochet Blanket Pattern.

This blanket pattern is inspired by my youngest son’s love of trains, and in particular the Polar Express movie. Due to the time of year a thicker, squishier and warmer blanket is always handy when out and about in a buggy, pram or pushchair.

This super soft and squishy pattern makes for a wonderfully warm blanket. The pattern gives instructions for a blanket of approximately 28.5 inches by 36.5 inches but can be adjusted to any size.

This blanket is made by working two strands of DK yarn (8ply) together to give it its amazingly soft touch and warm feel.

This pattern is in both UK and US terminology (you will receive two pdfs on completion of your purchase).

The pattern includes the train applique instructions but you will see that this blanket looks equally as adorable with or without the applique.

I have categorized this pattern as ‘Easy’. So whether you are new to crochet and want a blanket you can make yourself or if you are a seasoned crocheter looking for a simpler pattern with a rhythmic repeat - then this is the pattern for you.

This pattern does not include a guide on how to crochet. However, it does only use basic stitches. Providing you know how to dc, htr and a straight forward decrease of dc2tog (UK terms) or sc, hdc and sc2tog (US terms) then you will be able to make this blanket.

So why not hop on board and join us on this blanket journey - All Aboard the Snowy Express!
