All In Line is a firm-fitting, head-hugging beanie in sizes for men, women and children/teens. It is designed to be worn brim down, but a turn-up brim version is also possible from this pattern. This hat features a patchwork style design that uses simple stocking stitch together with a twisted rib stitch in alternating sections. The ribbed sections help to give the hat its snug fit and provide some attractive vertical patterning. All In Line is a light fingering weight pattern knitted in one piece from the brim up. It requires basic knowledge of knitting in the round and simple decreases. It is not a difficult hat to knit. Suitable for advanced beginners.

Yarn
Manos Del Uruguay, Fino (Inkwell) 70% wool and 30% silk (450m/490yd per 100g). Although, any light fingering weight yarn should be able to be used.

Gauge
29 stitches and 39 rows = 10 x 10cm (4 x 4”), in stocking stitch on 3.25mm needles.

Fit
All In Line is a close-fitting beanie, and should fit snuggly with negative ease.

Needles
2.75mm circular for brim/band. 3.25mm circular for body of hat. 3.25mm DPNs or 3.25mm long circular for crown. Or sizes to obtain gauge. Using longer circular needles and magic loop technique for the whole hat is recommended.

Notions
Stitch marker, stitch counter and tapestry needle to weave in ends.

Skill level
Advanced beginner – knitting in the round, twisted rib and K2tog decreases.
