This cowl is a tribute to the amazing indie dyers that I was able to work with during my first year designing knitting patterns. The phrase All Together Now references the Beatles song by the same name, inspired by the music hall tradition of asking the audience to join in, prompting knitters to join in sharing in the fiber community.

The All Together Now Cowl is a stranded colorwork pattern for a basic cowl. Knit using approx. one skein of your main color, this pattern encourages the knitter to use up precious scraps for the remaining contrast colors.

This pattern is written for Fingering, DK, and Worsted weight yarn.

If using scraps for contrast colors, ensure you have a min. 20 yards (18 m) for each section around.

This pattern is knit in the round using circular needles, from the bottom up. A wider circumference at the cast on edge tapers upwards towards the top. Instructions are also provided for a non-tapered version.

Special Techniques include twisted ribbing, stranded colorwork in the round, and decreasing using K2tog and ssk.
