This pattern is a 4-page .pdf file with written instructions in US crochet terms for making a delightful pair of fingerless mittens with a twisted chain detail on the back of the hand. The pattern includes left and right hand instructions, as well as a tutorial with 6 photos outlining how to create the twisted chain embellishment. This pattern has been tested and is suitable for beginner crocheters.
Materials
~110 yards or 50 g. #3 Light/DK/Light Worsted yarn
US G-6 (4 mm) crochet hook
Scissors
Darning Needle for sewing/weaving in ends
Gauge
20 dc sts and 10 dc rows = 4” square
Stitches Used and Abbreviations
st/sts = stitch/stitches
sl st = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
BLO = back loop only
sk = skip
sp = space
dc2tog = double crochet 2 together (yo, insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through two loops, yo and insert hook into next st, yo and pull up a loop, yo and pull through two loops, yo and pull through 3 loops left on hook)
