I wanted a design that was easy to do but looked complex. I love cables, but don’t love how they tighten the fabric- or how hard they are the more stitches you cable. I also really like lace. This design gave me the look of cables with some lace thrown in without the twisting or frustration of the tightening caused by bulky cables.
