Beanie-style, close-fitting hat with lined brim for extra warm ears. The brim features fair-isle (stranded) colourwork and the body of the hat is a slipped-stitch motif (one colour per row). Sized for Men’s M (Ladies L) and Men’s L (Ladies XL).

The hat is easily resized for larger gauge yarn and/or different sizes.

A chart for the Futhark (rune) alphabet is included. You will be making up your own personalized chart for the brim.

You will need about 45g of DK weight yarn for the MC and 10g each of the two contrasting colours, with a further 15g for the brim lining. It’s a good stash-buster! I recommend superwash wool for the lining as it tends to be a bit softer.

5 stitch markers (the ones that clip into your stitches) are helpful.
