Pretty mitts are constructed by knitting the lace cuff first, then picking up the stitches for the hand. The cuff can be constructed with or without beads, which add a little sparkle to your wrist!

The top cuff of fingerless mitts sometimes seems to dip on the palm side. There are instructions for optional short rows here to correct for this if the knitter desires. Of course the pattern can be worked without the short rows as is normally seen in mitt construction.

The mitts should fit an average woman’s hand. Adjustments in size can be done by changing gauge and needle size.
