This pattern creates a colourful and textured allotment with neat rows of fruit, vegetables and flowers. It includes pictures to help you make everything. It also includes instructions to make a bag rather than a cushion.

This would be a perfect project for any gardeners or would be gardeners out there. The finished cushion cover is very tactile and great for restless hands.

The yardage is only for the background colour. If you have a decent range of colours in your stash just make sure you have 4 balls of background colour, or 5 to make the bag. I have used Scheepjes because Catona comes in 10g balls meaning you don’t have to over buy.

It also looks great made with drops extra fine merino. See the sister pattern to this one - the Allotment Blanket, for that colour scheme and the colours you would need to create that. It also looks good with a light blue background if you are not so keen on the earthy browns I have used. The blanket version also includes roses and cauliflowers.

YOU WILL NEED:
3.5 mm crochet hook
Scheepjes Stone Washed 4 (5 for bag) balls of Boulder Opal (804) or Amazonite (813), (M)
Scheepjes Catona 10g balls of Hot Red - 115 (R), Royal Orange - 189 (O), Candle Light - 101 (LY), Fir - 525 (DG), Cyan - 397 (B), Tyrian Purple - 128 (P) and Willow - 395 (K) (See notes for further info)
Scheepjes Catona 25g ball of Kiwi -205 (BG)
A few metres of 2 ply beige/white thread, embroidery thread or sewing thread. I used Scheepjes Sweet Treat in English Tea - 404.
Yarn Needle
4 stitch markers (or scraps of yarn to mark)
42cm cushion pad, or one just slightly bigger than your finished cushion. If you make using drops merino extra fine it will come out bigger.

My wonderful testers have worked hard on this pattern but please get in touch if you have any questions or problems when making the cushion.
