“Alltan,” meaning “brook” or “stream” in Gaelic, is so named for the rippling cables covering two sections of the blanket on either side of a central path. Beside each “stream” appear “fences” and each section is edged with “river rock.” Actually, the entire scene is composed of cables to give you a fun, cozy knit project. Imagining a pastoral stroll beside a rippling brook as you knit is a just a bonus!

Alltan is worked all in one piece with lots of generous cables in a choice of two lengths.
