Some people find the yoke instructions a bit unclear, here is an update that may be helpful:
Here are the more clear instructions:
Next row sets up the neckline (you will be working back and forth now, and will be doing garter for the shoulders and seed stitch for the collar):
Row 1: K to 6 (6, 6, 8, 8, 8, 12, 12) sts before end of round, pm (A), seed st to end of round, pm (B), turn work. Discard old end of round marker.
Row 2 (WS): Seed st to marker, sm (A), p1, pm (C), k to 1 before marker B, pm (D), p1, sm (B), m1 x 6 (6, 6, 8, 8, 8, 12, 12). Now have 89 (97, 102, 110, 115, 126, 140, 151) sts.
Row 3: Seed st to marker, sm (B), k1, sm (D), k2tog, k to 2 before marker C, ssk, sm (C), k1, sm (A), seed to end. This decreases by 2 sts. Now have 87 (95, 100, 108, 113, 124, 138, 149) sts.
Row 4: seed to marker A, sm (A), p1, sm (C), k to marker D, sm (D), p1, sm (B), seed to END.
Repeat rows 3 and 4 until there are 83 (89, 94, 100, 105, 114, 128, 139) sts on needles. It should now measure at least, and close to, 4 (4 ¼ , 4 ¼ , 4 ½ , 4 ¾ , 5 , 5 ¼ , 5 ½ ) inches from the underarm.

Aiden is a cozy, roomy and warm masculine pullover worked from the bottom up. Other than a little kitchener stitch at the underarms and a few whip stitches to hold the collar down, it is seamless and all in one. The neckline is reminiscent of the classic shawl collar but is constructed as your work, so no picking up stitches. Make this for your little (or medium or big) boy today!

People have been unhappy with the yoke on this and I have finally figured out the problem. The sweater in the photo is a size 8 and my child was 8 at the time. Problem is, he is absolutely tiny for his age! If you like the look in the photo, make body section shorter, and add that amount of length to the yoke section part where it says “ after connecting body and sleeve, knit until…”. Or go up a size and make the sleeves shorter, but this is pretty loose sweater.
