This is a pattern for a true alpine cabled scarf (as opposed to Aran cabling, which is the more familiar way of cabling). The Alpine cables came to us from the Alpine region, while the Aran cables came to us from the Irish Isles.) In and Alpine cable, the knit stitches are knit primarily through the back loop, and although the scarf is not reversible, it is cabled on both sides. This particular scarf is centered with a turtleneck that will keep you warm in spite of the lighter weight yarn.

Skill Level: Intermediate + - Advanced (assuming a good working knowledge of knitting, purling and cabling)

This pattern was professionally tested by Lori Veteto who can be contacted at:
hooknneedler@cimtel.net, and is known on Ravelry as “the” hooknneedler.

The yarn used in the sample is Fleece Artist’s BFL Sport in Red Maple

The pattern is for sale here on Ravelry, and in my Etsy shop in the Cabled Scarf Section (https://www.etsy.com/shop/WearableArtEmporium?section_id=...)
