Description from Special Little Knits from Just One Skein:

One advantage of Alpine Lace is that it is a lacy boucle with lots of bounce and it lofts well. Although this yarn is considered worsted-weight, it has so much body that it knits like a bulky yarn if you use large needles. Armed with size 15 needles, Sharon used an oblique openwork stitch and was able to create an ample wrap with just one skein of yarn. But she did use the entire hank and advises knitters to make certain they are knitting to gauge or be prepared to adjust the length of the shawl at the end of the project. If you run out of yarn before the garter edging, just rip out one repeat of the openwork stitch and use the yarn for the garter edge. When Sharon designed the wrap, she cut the fringe first. But if fringe is not important to you, use the extra yarn for finish work.
