From the book: “In this design, Brown-Reisel uses motifs taken from a nineteenth century garment from the town of Alvros, Sweden, and punched it up with motifs of her own. The intarsia knit in the round keeps things interesting. Unlike many ski sweaters, this one is very soft and snuggly and was designed and knit with the premium and very soft merino wool from Morehouse Farm.”

Note on Needles: The pattern requires US 4 circular needles in both 16 and 32 inch length. In addition, the pattern calls for double pointed needles in sizes US 4 and US 2.

Note on Yarn: The pattern requires three colors, and suggests the following:

  • (A) Black - 6 (8, 10) skeins
  • (B) Cranberry - 1 skein
  • (C) Soft White - 5 (7, 9) skeins
