This is an extremely warm, thick cowl that you can wear under your coat and pull up over your nose/mouth/ears on bitterly cold days, or wear scrunched around your neck. The
Amadeus cable pulls it in around your neck, but then it flares out over your face and chest with no shaping. Even better is that there are no long scarf ends to unwind on windy days, or droop into your coffee!

The cowl begins at the top and works down to the bottom, which flares out. Gauge is not important for this project. The goal is to make a tube about 22-24” in diameter, and measured flat it should be approximately 14” long x 11” wide.

The cable pattern is based on cable #81 in Vogue Stitchionary, Vol. 2 – “Amadeus.”
