When designing this vest the goal was simplicity, warmth, and drape. Nothing that would cling to one’s midsection, but something that would gently skim over any areas you may wish to hide. Still, with a slight A-line shape this vest is best suited to the hourglass and pear figures among us. The wide deep armholes of this vest allow sufficient room for movement, even with roomy layers underneath. Because of the oversized nature of the armholes it is illadvised to knit this garment with positive ease. Due to the minimal approach to this design it is intentionally given in a limited size range since larger busts would require much more shaping and a different approach to the neck sizing. If you are considering augmenting this design for your own personal fit you may wish to consider beginning armhole shaping much sooner, adding in bust shaping and/or increasing the overall width or length. Be warned that a wider neck may result in off the shoulder styles, therefore more shaping will be required for the armholes in larger sizes.
