Want to use the same gorgeous Canadian Wool I did? You can get a limited edition Amanita yarn kit direct from Sweet Paprika!

After it rains two inches, wait two weeks and mushrooms will be popping up everywhere in the woods. While it’s raining, you might as well knit a cozy hat for your favourite mycologist’s next venture out. Amanitas are one of the most common and visually striking mushrooms we see here on the west coast of Vancouver Island – but don’t eat ‘em!

The finished hat is 19½ (21½)”/ 49.5 (54.5)cm around at brim and 10 (11)”/ 25.5 (28)cm deep. To fit with approximately 2”/5cm negative ease.
