Amelia ~ was inspired by my love of these trendy and functional ear-flap hats. This one features a front flap, fashioned after the trapper hats, offering an ultimate convergence of warmth and style and the versatility of using playful yarns, such as faux fur, as an accent.
A perfect addition to your doll’s seasonal wardrobe

Construction: Worked flat: back and forth in rows ~ my preferred knitting technique using my bamboo straights. Ear flaps are worked individually, then picked up and worked from the bottom up in one piece, along with the front flap with shaping for the crown, and seamed. Braided tassels added after completion

Pattern Features:
A textured stitch pattern along with garter stitch is featured throughout with line-by-line instructions given, along with a Variation: Work the front flap in a contrast or playful yarn such as faux fur and turn back on itself, or leave turned down.

Skill Level:
Beginner - Easy: Project using basic stitches, repetitive stitch patterns, simple color changes, and simple shaping and finishing.
