ENGLISH

Amelia is an incredibly flattering and comfortable top inspired by knits of the 1930s. It’s a quick knit that’ll fly off the needles.

The top is knit from the bottom-up and in the round up until under the sleeves where it is divided into two sections that are each knit back and forth. The shoulders are either stitched together or gathered using a three-needle-bind-off. The neck opening is finished with a simple crochet edge and the sleeves with a delicate ribbing and slim braid - alternative suggestions to the braid are included.

Two yarn weights are used: sport and lace. This makes for a light and airy striped section while the body falls more heavily and smoothly.

DANSK

Amelia er en yderst flatterende og meget behagelig top inspireret af 1930ernes strik. Den er hurtigt strikket og vil flyve af pindene.

Toppen strikkes nedefra-op på rundpinde til lige under ærmerne, hvorfra der strikkes ret frem og tilbage i to sektioner. Skuldrene føjes sammen med sting eller en tre-pinds-afbinding, halsåbningen kantes med en enkelt hæklet kant og ærmerne afsluttes med en ribstrikket kant samt en diskret flettet detalje ved roden af ribkanten. Hvis ikke man er til fletværk er der forslag til andre dekorative måder at smukkesere overgangen.

Der anvendes to garntykkelser, sport og lace. Det giver den stribede sektion tekstur og lethed om skuldrene, mens toppen falder glattere ned over kroppen.
