March 1/2009:

It’s come to my attention that there’s a problem with the waist ribbing numbers in several of the sizes, so that there’s an extra knit or purl stitch in each side section.

Here’s a fix: In the first row of the waist ribbing, work

X(X, p2tog, X, X, X, p2tog) at each side marker (where X means don’t do anything).

This will allow the twisted rib to match up properly across the waistband.

After completing the inch of waist ribbing, work an m1 at each side marker to get back to the original total of stitches.
