These are my favourite stockings that have worn the best, even with as much wear as they get. While not 100% accurate, they will pass pretty well for mid-1500s to early 1900s. With simple I-cord garters in the same yarn, they will even pass for modern knee-high socks well enough.

Instructions are transcribed from my knitting notes, sized for my 9.5/41 feet and muscular legs, but I have tried to make shaping instructions clear for adjustments. These stockings should be long enough to fit over the knee, but are tied with garters under the knee.

I used about 150g of fingering weight sock yarn for mine.
