I work at my local VFW. They help so many vets and it inspired me to do something nice for them. Please know now that i am not the best at crochet. I’m very very new at it.
I designed this american flag afghan for them to raffle off for the 4th of july to help raise some money for the different chairty things they do for the vets.
THis is still a work in progress but i will be posting a pattern for this with in the week.
I hope you all will enjoy.
best wishes and happy stitches,
mandie :)

It is finally done. I finished this a couple weeks ago but i kept forgetting to take a picture of the finished project. I’m trying to get in touch with a friend of mine who is really great at crochet and she is going to help me write the pattern. I promise i will have a pattern for you soon. If you are going to start this project your self i would suggest you get started on all those stars first. I used the knitted stars pattern by Nanette Blanchard. It can be found here on ravelry. If you perfer crochet stars there are several great patterns on here as well.
