A simple and quick-to-knit cowl, using one skein of aran weight yarn.

The two-row lace pattern is easy to memorise and creates an attractive yet understated stitch pattern that is well suited to luxury yarns.

The cowl is knitted sideways, starting with a provisional CO. The edges are joined with a three needle BO (explained in pattern) for a neat finish.
