Basic knowledge of crochet is precondition for this pattern as it does not contain basic crochet lessons:
Chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitch, magic ring should be known to you.

This wonderful butterfly is ideal for decoration at the window during spring or for playing with for children, a small present for your loved ones, as a pick-me up or whatever…
Not suitable for very small children as some small parts are glued down.

In order to make work easier for you I have taken as many pictures as possible, so that you can imagine what each crochet step should / will look like.

You will require the following yarn:

Butterfly:

  • I crocheted the butterfly with just three colours, rose, light rose and pink
  • (Needle size 2, 100 % Cotton, 50 gr. 125 m, Catania or Carina)

There are two variations for the wings:

    • Needle size 2, 100 % Cotton, 50 gr. 125 m, Catania or Carina (large)
    • Needle size No.1.5, 100 % Cotton Filet Thread, 566 m, 100 gr. Pro Lana (small)

Tools / Material:
Eyes (Colour Black) (5 mm half-pearls, Plastic)
Mouth (Colour Red) (Silk Thread)
Eye lashes (Black Sewing thread)
Cheeks (Colour Rose) Pastel chalk, Brush No. 2:
Shading with pastel chalk on the body (Colour Rose and Dark brown)
superglue
Crochet hook No. 2 and 1.5
Embroidery needle
Pins
half-pearls White 3 x 3 mm large
Antenna 2 x round Pink Pearls 8 mm large
Flowers Pearls flat 4 x light rose 1 cm large (2 for the shoes and 2 for the wings)
synthetic fibre for stuffing
Hot glue and hot glue gun
Scissors

Abbreviations:
MR - Magic Ring (6)
R = rounds
SC = single crochet
S = stitch
dec = decrease
HDC: half double crochet
