This is a pattern for a crocheted and felted turtle. This project measures about 6 inches (15cm) long by 5 inches (12cm) wide after felted.

Instructions are given for not only the crochet pattern, but how to felt your item as well. Some needle-felting is required for the design on the turtle’s shell. This is optional however as embroidering the design would work just as well.

Material:
For crocheting:
Dark green 100% wool yarn
Beige or tan 100% wool yarn
Size I (5.5mm) crochet hook
Tapestry needle
Fiberfill

For felting:
Washing machine
¼ cup liquid soap

For needle-felting:
Felting needles
Scrap black and white wool yarn
Scrap dark gray wool yarn (optional)
Green roving (optional)
