When you finish crocheting this small yet strong Kung Fu master, he will be about 7.5” x 5.5” (with a 3” long tail).

Required Skills:

• Adding additional rounds onto already-crocheted garments

• Changing yarn colors

• Create a magic circle (or magic ring)

• Crocheting in a round

• Crocheting in front loops and back loops

• Cutting out and gluing felt pieces to doll

• Decrease stitches (invisible decreasing is used for this project)

• Double Crochet

• Embroidering

• Half Double Crochet

• Increase stitches

• Sewing pieces together to form the doll

• Single crochet

• Using a hot glue gun (or you can try using felt glue)

Materials Needed for this Project:

• Size H/8 or 5.00mm Crochet Hook (for beard)

• Size G/7 or 4.25mm Crochet Hook (for the rest of the doll)

• Size E/5 or 3.50mm Crochet Hook (for sash, edges and trimming on robe, elbow patches, and inner ears)

• Yarn Needle

• Stitch Marker

• Scissors

• Polyester Fiberfill

• Very Fine Black Yarn (for string around beard)

• Very Fine White Yarn (for mustache)

• White Bulky Soft Yarn (for facial fur—I used Caron Bliss “Snow”. From what I have researched, they have discontinued Caron Bliss. However, you can find skeins of this yarn on various websites such as Ravelry and Ebay.)

• Worsted Weight Yarn (I used Red Heart Super Saver Solids—1 skein for each color)
o White for head, muzzle, ears, and tail
o Buff for ears, inner ears, and tail
o Gold for body/robe and arms
o Coffee for body, legs, trimming and edges of robe, sash, elbow patches, nose, and mouth
o Café Latte for legs and arms
o Aran for legs
o Pale Yellow for robe sleeve ends

• Felt
o Black for dots on eyes
o White for eyes
o Brown for outer eyes
o Gold for large rings around eyes

• Tweezers

• Hot Glue Gun (for felt pieces)
