Some experience of colourwork/intarsia is required for this pattern.

It begins with a simple lacy border using a variation of the Old Shale stitch then goes into the ammonite pattern from a colourwork chart, the ammonite pattern is worked in the charcoal DK yarn but using it doubled to make it as thick as the Katia yarn, weaving in your ends neatly on the reverse, then the Old Shale stitch is worked to the end.

The finished scarf measures 98cm long x 26cm wide so if you prefer a longer scarf then use 200g of the Katia Azteca (you won’t need any more of the charcoal DK as the ammonite pattern is only worked once)

Katia Azteca is a lovely soft yarn with beautiful colour changes in blue and brown.
