Amoeba Beanie!

Knit Amoeba Beanie in a soft, sportweight yarn—all samples are shown in Malabrigo Arroyo, in Pocion, Cirrus Blue, and Immortal colorways, from small to big.

This design works better, in my opinion, as a kid hat, and the medium size will fit larger kids and small to average adults. If you want it to have a more bonnet-like brim, size up, but otherwise, aim for negative ease.

Materials:
101(134, 168) yards of Malabrigo Arroyo (shown in Pocion(Cirrus Blue, Immortal)).
1 16”+ circular needle in US5/3.75mm, or size needed for gauge
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends

Gauge:
Gauge is 10 sts and 23 rows over 2”/5cm in blocked garter stitch worked flat. Please be sure to check your gauge.

I now have several knit-flat, no-sew hat designs, so if this is not your thing but the idea appeals, check out the others!
