About the pattern: On a recent trip to Paris, I was struck by the fact that all of the Parisian women seemed to be wearing scarves, and all styled the same way - looped once, then tied in front. I wanted a simple scarf that could be styled in this manner, but the whisper-light Mora silk (dyed by Malabrigo in exclusive colors for LoopsClub) needed a bit of structure.

I designed this ultra-simple project that alternates smaller and larger needles. The smaller-needle sections give the finished project more stability and a surprise effect: a subtly scalloped edge that’s especially pretty when the piece is worn as a shawl.
