Anchors Aweigh Ski Cap is a warm, pom pom topped hat with a nautical feel. Growing up by the ocean make fish, crabs, lobsters, anchors and waves part of my summers and winters. This is a stranded cap knit in the round with lots of options. Make it as a skull cap, no pom pom or earflaps; make it as a skull cap with pom pom only; make it as shown with 1 lobster earflap and 1 ocean wave earflap or choose the earflap you like best and knit it twice. Earflaps are added after cap is knit, so if the recipient doesn’t like flaps, they are easily cut off. This hat can really be made your own by choosing only what you like best!

It comes in Child, Adult and Large Adult sizes. Outer circumference of finished hat at brim: 19, ( 20, 22.5 ) inches. Instructions included for optional fleece lining that provides extra warmth and comfort - knit a size larger if it will be lined. Herringbone edge always lies flat and looks good. Three colors in the cap, never more than two on any round. Charts are provided for the lobster, waves and anchors.

Knit Picks Wool of the Andes used in this cap, but any worsted weight yarn will work from Cascade 220 to the top of the line hand-spuns available.
