Andalusian by Kristen McDonnell

Andalusian

This pattern is available for free.

This vintage Andalusian Knit Stitch Pattern is a sweet little update of the Stockinette Stitch. In this 4 Row Repeat Knit Stitch Pattern, we simply knit and purl on one of the rows, creating a little bit of texture and visual interest.

This stitch was named long ago after the Southern Spain community of Andalusia. I think this classic pattern would be perfect to knit up in one solid color for a darling baby blanket.

As you can see, this Andalusian is NOT a reversible pattern, since the Right and Wrong Sides are different. However, the wrong side has a nice clean look that I wouldn’t mind being visible.

This knitting project is an easy level project. What will you create with your new Andalusian Knit Stitch?
