Light Worsted weight yarn as well as Sport weight is suitable. The pattern can be altered in multiples of 12 stitches. Just keep in mind your gauge and hat size!

A color chart for both hats is included.
Worksheets are also included with the pattern, so you can fill in your own color possibilities and choices.

I designed this pattern for a 2-Color knitting class at Sheep Street Fibers.
I have since added ear flaps to the Llama hat. If you add ear flaps, you will need a second skein of your main color yarn. The llama hat is Inca Alpaca, and the bird hat is Dale Heilo.

The hats are fun to knit, wear, and give as gifts!!
