Andrea’s Cowl
My knitting group has been getting together this summer at a park near my home.
We will continue to meet this fall, as long as the weather holds out – all wrapped in our fabulous hand knits. We wear masks and respect 6’ social distancing recommendations.
The park has many paths and we often take walking breaks during our knitting time.

It’s a wonderful way to be able to see each other during this pandemic. I’m so grateful for the craft, yarn love and all of my friends who share the same passion. I’m thankful that my friend, Andrea, agreed to model my new cowl during an incredibly windy afternoon.
It looks good on her, don’t you think?

I hope you enjoy knitting this easy, one-skein cowl pattern. It’s a good social knitting or Knitflix pattern, and super speedy for gifts this season. I chose a skein of Dream in Color, Cosette, which is a Superwash Merino/cashmere/nylon blend dk yarn.

The cowl is approximately 10” deep x 22” in circumference.
Gauge is approximately 4½ sts./in.

Materials
One skein (100 grams, 270 yards) of Cosette by Dream in Color.
70% Merino wool, 20% Cashmere goat, 10% Nylon. DK weight yarn. This sample is color #903, Anything Goes.
Size 7 circular needles, 24” length. Stitch marker. Yarn needle.
Note: Although, I love this particular yarn for this project, many other dk, sport, light worsted or worsted yarn choices would be appropriate for this design.

A big thank you to Andrea for modeling and for all of the positivity!
