This hat was inspired by my daughters’ love of fun hats. They wanted a long stocking cap that could also be used as a scarf. I wanted the hat to be something they could still wear while out playing, so I didn’t make it quite as long as they wanted. They are still thrilled with the result because they can wrap the tail around their neck to use like a cowl along with many other creative styles! To make sure the hat stays put while running, the brim includes lots of 1X1 ribbing. The hats in the pattern used either three or five colors, but the hat would also look great as a stash buster with as many colors as you like!

The 1x1 ribbing gives a snug fit. I recommend a size small for head sizes 19” to 21” and size large for head sizes 21” to 23

Five color hat: MC - 175(220); CC1 - 90(115); CC2 - 80(100); CC3 - 80(100); CC4 - 65(80) yards.

Three color hat: MC - 255(270); CC1 - 150(160); CC2 - 140(150) yards.
