Originally designed for the children’s size, this cowl is the perfect warm accessory that doesn’t need to be tied, tightened, loosened, and won’t get lost if your child is active on the playground. I’ve added some depth and a little extra to the circumference for the adult size, so you can be cozy and warm too while you coordinate with your children, grandchildren, or niblings.

Sizes:
Child/Small and Adult/Large (19”/24” circumference)

Needle:
Needles US 6 (3. 5mm)* 16-24”circulars or 32-40” circular needles for magic loop.
* Or size needed to obtain gauge.

Yarn:
DK Weight Yarn
Small Size: 90 yards in two colors, 180 total yards.
Large Size: 185 yards in two colors, 370 total yards.
For either size, you can use just one color if you wish, the larger size will take more than one skein.
If you knit this with a different gauge for your personal preference, you may get a drastically different yarn usage. Several testers chose to knit with a needle size bigger than needed for gauge and still did not use over a full skein of either color for the largest size.

Suggested Notions:
Yarn/tapestry needle for weaving in ends.
One stitch marker for beginning of round.
